WORK EXPERIENCES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Lauren Nutall worked as a reporter for The Hilltop's investigative team and Howard University's News Service while at Howard University. She was also a Washington Media Scholar and UNCF/National Geographic Scholar. In 2025, Lauren was selected as a Campus Consortium Pulitzer Center Grant Recipient, where she reported on the intersection of school policing and immigration enforcement. She previously worked at Black Enterprise as a news writer and CBS News as an investigative intern in their D.C. bureau, where she contributed to investigations into the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, and into his top campaign donors and voter fraud claims. She worked at The Dallas Morning News as an Ida B. Wells Society Investigative Reporting intern in 2025, where she covered the devastating Kerr County flooding and failed vetting of Texas educators.

She is currently a 2025-2026 Reporting Fellow at The 19th.
